    Ideal Vacation
Fiji Just Might be the World's Perfect Vacation Place!

What's your idea of the ideal vacation?

Some people like to bake on the beach, sipping cocktails while the sun drains away their office-induced anxiety. Others enjoy mixing up a bit of local culture with their relaxation. And some go traveling to search for adventure. But most vacationers, like all people, defy categorization and enjoy a mixture of activities.

Fiji, an archipelago of 333 tropical islands, can be all things to all people, save perhaps a sherpa interested in bagging a Himalayan peak. With its palm-lined pristine beaches, water sports, grassy highlands, and exotic gentle culture, Fiji keeps everyone happy.

Visitors can swing in a hammock with a drink and book, eat a gourmet meal on a private beach with a loved one, or enjoy the wide variety of adventurous outdoor activities available, all while rubbing elbows with "the friendliest people in the world." There are uninhabited tranquil islets with warm, crystalline waters that will make you think you've been "Castaway" into the "Blue Lagoon" -- and you might have been if you're on what was once a movie set-- while other areas offer rainforest trekking, bird-watching, diving, mountain biking, fishing, and "kava" ceremonies in remote villages of traditional "bures" (thatched-roof bungalows).

All travelers, from budget-conscious backpackers to ultra-luxury tourists, agree -- Fiji has excellent tourist facilities. And Fiji's all-inclusive resort packages offer terrific indulgent value for money at both ends - and in the middle - of the scale. Activities, meals, accommodation and more are rolled into one "upfront" price that's lower than the cost of the individual components. You go on holiday knowing the exact cost, but still get world-class exotic luxury.

"You go native," explained South Pacific Holiday's Todd Heater, "and leave things like money behind."

What All Inclusive Means

"All-inclusive" means different things at different resorts but "All-Inclusive Fiji's" ten handpicked upscale resorts offer at least these basics:

  • All meals and snacks
  • Accommodation
  • International airfare
  • Most water sport equipment
  • Resort entertainment
Additionally, some resorts include alcohol, diving gear, big game fishing, cave tours, horseback riding, trips to town, sailing, and other activities. All-Inclusive Fiji's resorts pride themselves on no hidden costs, and espouse an all-inclusive philosophy of "no surprises." VAT is included and tipping is neither practiced nor encouraged in Fiji. Refer to each resort's description for details.

Fiji is unique in that it provides natural beauty, safety, accessibility, activity, and value for tourists, but has maintained its traditional rites and indigenous culture. It offers unforgettable tropical honeymoons, anniversaries, and "no-reason" fun-filled vacations, and all-inclusive packages offer the best rates and service available. You could be sitting under a palm tree on a chaise lounge, SCUBA diving in crystal-clear waters, or photographing a volcanic cone in a world where money and time are meaningless. It's all waiting for you in Fiji. Let www.allinclusivefiji.com make your arrangements today!

Other Important Things to Remember

Tourist visas good for one month are free and available on arrival.

No vaccinations or malarial precautions are necessary to visit Fiji, and English is the official language. Many Fijian dialects are spoken, while some Indo-Fijians speak Fiji-Hindi. Christianity is the dominant religion, followed by Hinduism. There are Muslim and Sikh minorities.

There are ATMs in Fiji, but not all are on every international network. Some are CIRRUS, others are PLUS. Be prepared with backup traveler's checks, or better yet, take an all-inclusive trip and leave your money worries at home.

Since the early days of sailing, Fiji has been at the crossroads of the Pacific. It is still a popular stopover for cruise ships and Australia/New Zealand-bound flights.

Families are welcome at some resorts, while others allow adults only. Most offer wedding, anniversary, and honeymoon packages.

Weather is consistently pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 68 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Cooling trade winds provide reliable breezes year-round, but May to October is the dry "winter" and is the most popular time to visit.
